St Barnabas and St Paul's is a welcoming, caring Church of England Primary School, where every member of the school community is respected, valued and encouraged to flourish academically, emotionally, socially and spiritually.
Our School Vision
'Be the best for God that you can be in all you do, whilst demonstrating Christian values which are pertinent to all faiths.'
St Paul tells us, ‘Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as though you were working for the Lord and not for people’ (Colossians 3:23).
Our school vision enables and inspires the diverse community we serve to be ambitious, dedicated and to strive for success. Following the example set by St Barnabas 'The Encourager', we accomplish this by promoting high expectations in all aspects of our school life, and through our Christian values of compassion, trust, thankfulness, forgiveness, hope and perseverance. This will ensure all of our pupils will become successful in their future lives, working and living amongst people with a wide range of viewpoints and beliefs.
Our Christian Values
Our Christian Values are:
Hope - Compassion - Trust - Forgiveness - Perseverance - Thankfulness
Through God’s love for us we demonstrate our school Christian Values:
‘But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength’
‘For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly father will also forgive you’
‘I know your deeds, your love and faith, your service and perseverance’
‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding’
‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind. And love your neighbour as yourself’
‘Be thankful in all circumstances. This is what God wants from you in your life’
Our Christian Values guide us in all we do - the way we think, the way we speak and the way we act.
